Impressionistic Landscapes in Watercolor with Mary Jane Erard - $65 per person - Sun, 5/19 (130-430) - Mature teens and adults welcome Create your escape with a local talent, Mary Jane Erard. She is an accomplished artist and educator in the Toledo area and we are so excited to be hosting a class for you all to come try! Your instructor will take you step by step through various watercolor techniques needed to paint an impressionistic landscape in watercolor including watercolor pencils and markers. Students will learn approximately 10 different techniques that your instructor will demonstrate first, and students will create on watercolor paper to keep as a sample sheet to refer to in class and in their own private painting endeavors. Each element learned will be applied to create a painting of the source photos provided in class or in photos students bring to class. Your instructor will help each student create their samples and finished painting in any way needed including drawing and sketches. Several watercolor supplies will be used and demonstrated in class, such as the following: - cold and hot press watercolor papers, - Types of watercolor including gouache and Japanese watercolor. - Use of several types of paint brushes, - Sponges and wax, - Watercolor pencils and markers. Students will be provided one Strathmore sheet of 16” x 20” Arches 140 pound cold press watercolor paper and a #8 size filbert paint brush good for watercolor. Your brush can be natural or synthetic hair. The paper will be cut in half and 1 half used for practicing techniques and 1 half for a finished watercolor painting. Students may bring their own favorite watercolor paint sets, but sets will also be provided for use in class. All other supplies will be included for use in class. 1 session available: Sun, 5/19 (130-430) $65 per person Refunds allowed with minimum 72 hours notice. Transferrable only without 72 hours notice. Cancellation Policy
