Paint Like Van Gogh Soft Pastels or Acrylic - all materials included - $65 per person - Mature teens and adults welcome Local talent, Mary Jane Erard will be here to show you techniques inspired by the work of Van Gogh. Mary Jane is an accomplished artist and educator in the Toledo area - and the artwork her students create is always impressive! In this 3 hour session, you will learn to use acrylic OR soft pastels to create the thick strokes of Van Gogh called impasto. You’ll learn about what makes a painting look similar to Van Gogh’s style by examine images of his paintings. Demonstrations given. Discussion of impasto and examples given. Practice canvas in 5” x 7” and sketching paper provided, plus a larger final canvas (size TBD). Bring your own source photos (can be anything you like, as long as it’s a subject you feel comfortable creating). You can use a Van Gogh image to create something similar, such a sunflowers or starry nights. Your instructor will bring multiple photographs too. 1 session available: Sunday, 12/3 (130-430) $65 per person Refunds allowed with minimum 72 hours notice. Transferrable only without 72 hours notice. Minimum attendance required, subject to cancellations with full refunds.
